Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu’s much talked about romantic-musical will be released this year on Diwali. It's first look was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. The currently untitled film also stars Sreeleela, who has earlier worked in Telugu and Kannada films.

In the first look video, Kartik seems to be playing a singer as he is seen performing in a concert. He has his beard and hairs grown, covering most of his face. The song is intercut with visuals of him and Sreeleela, who plays his lover.

The film features music by Pritam. More details from the project are awaited.

It was highly speculated earlier that Kartik will be collaborating with Tirptii Dimri for the next part in the Aashiqui franchise, directed by Anurag. Rumors started taking shape that Triptii was dropped from the film due to her bold image in recent films. However, Anurag had refuted these claims in interviews.

Kartik was seen earlier in the horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, which released on Diwali last year.
